For venues, promoters and artists
We're building pricing guidance for live events, and we want to build it with the people who sell the seats. If you run a venue, a tour or a festival, we'd like you as a design partner.
What a pilot would look like
Four steps, in this order. You can stop after any of them.
-
We talk
One or two calls to learn how you price today, what has gone wrong, and which events you'd want to look at. There's nothing to sign at this stage.
-
You share past sales
Ticket prices, sell-through by seat or section and, if you have them, resale listings from past events. We'll agree in writing how the data is used before you send any of it.
-
We model one season
We rebuild how those events sold and test what different prices might have done. You see where seats probably went too cheap and where rows stayed empty.
-
You decide what to use
You get our findings and recommendations. Use them, change them or ignore them. Nothing changes in your box office unless you change it.
What you'd get and what we'd need
What you'd get
- A look back
- Where past prices missed, seat by seat, for one season of your events.
- Recommendations
- Suggested prices and timing for upcoming events, with our reasoning shown.
- A say in the product
- Design partners decide what we build first.
- No bill
- The pilot is free.
What we'd need
- Past sales data
- From a few events is enough to start. A spreadsheet export works.
- One contact
- Someone who knows how your tickets are priced and sold.
- Your rules
- The limits you won't cross, such as price floors, member discounts or fixed tiers.
- Plain feedback
- Tell us what is wrong or useless. That is the point of a pilot.
Questions organisers ask
Will prices go up for fans?
Some will and some will go down. A seat priced well below what people will pay is the one resellers pick up, so it may rise. A seat that stays empty at its current price should get cheaper. Our aim is fewer resold seats and fewer empty rows, not a higher average price.
Who has the final say?
You do. Tesserlint recommends and you approve, change or reject. We won't move a price outside rules you've set.
What data do you need?
To start, past ticket prices and sales by seat or section, with dates. Resale listings and audience data help but aren't required. We'll agree in writing how we use anything you send.
Does this work for small venues?
We don't know yet. Smaller rooms have less data, which makes forecasting harder. It's one of the things a pilot would show us, and we'd rather find out with you than guess.
What does it cost?
It's free during the pilot. We haven't set pricing yet, and we'll talk to design partners before we do.
