For people who buy tickets
Ticket prices move, and resale prices move more. Tesserlint is being built to sit on your side of that: tell you when to buy, whether a listing is fair and where the same seat costs less.
What Tesserlint would do for you
Four things, each one a question you already ask before you pay.
-
When to buy
Our model would predict how the price of a ticket is likely to move. It would then tell you whether to buy now or wait.
-
Is the resale price fair
On a resale listing, we would show whether the price is high compared with what that seat is really worth.
-
Watch and get alerts
Follow an event. When the price drops to a fair level, we would tell you.
-
Compare across sellers
We would look for the cheapest comparable seat across primary sales and resale sites, so you don't have to check each one.
On your side, and what that means
What we are
- A guide for buyers
- We help you decide when and where to buy.
- Open about who pays us
- We're built for the person buying. We may work with sellers and resale sites, and when we do, we'll say so.
- Open about doubt
- A forecast can be wrong. We'll say how sure we are.
What we are not
- Not a product yet
- Today there is a waitlist and nothing else. We'll write when there is something to try.
- Not a promise of the lowest price
- Sometimes the right advice is to buy now, at a price that won't fall.
Questions fans ask
Will it cost anything?
We haven't decided yet. Joining the waitlist is free and doesn't commit you to anything.
Which events and countries?
Not settled. We're thinking of concerts, theatre, sport and festivals. Tell us what you go to and where you live in the form below, and it will help us choose where to start.
How do you know what a fair price is?
We estimate what a seat is worth from things like its location, the event and how prices for similar seats have moved. It's an estimate, not a fact, and we'll show our reasoning where we can.
Do sellers or resale sites pay you?
They may. We're open to working with sellers and resale sites. If we do, you'll see which ones, and anything a seller pays for will be clearly marked. How we will earn money isn't decided yet, and we'll tell you before it matters.
